Hannah Robinson Releases New Song “The Well”
British alt-rock singer-songwriter Hannah Robinson released a new song “The Well” on August 6, 2021.
The track is her second single of 2021, following “Dig Me Up” released last month.
It was written by Hannah Robinson, and produced by Scott McKeon and Stephen Darrell Smith.
The idea for the song came from the novel The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murikami. She was taken aback by one line from the book which read, “Maybe you’ve got this deep well inside, and you shout into it.”
Hannah Robinson said, “I was curious to see if I could create a feeling and a narrative in this song using fewer words. I liked trying something more lyrically concise, I feel it made me especially selective with the words I chose.”
As a studio and live session singer, Hannah Robinson sings and plays guitar for John Illsley (founding member of Dire Straits), touring the UK and Europe.- Previous Song “Dig Me Up”:
