Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter Erika de Casier announced her upcoming sophomore album “Sensational” will be released on May 21, 2021 via 4AD.
The album comprises of 13-track, including preceding singles “Drama” and “No Butterflies, No Nothing”. It is her first LP in two years.
From the album, she dropped a new song “Polite” with an accompanying music video on April 13, 2021.
It was written and produced by Natal Zaks and Erika de Casier. The video was directed by Erika de Casier herself.
The track was written about a nightmare date she’d been on where her dining partner was rude to the waiter and only spoke about himself. Thinking she should walk out of the restaurant or confront his impoliteness, instead she sat there being nice. The song lays out what Erika de Casier wishes she’d said to him if she could replay the scene: “You gotta have some manners if you wanna roll with me”.
She will embark her headline tour in support of the album in London, Manchester and Amsterdam this year.- source : Spotify
