Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Hey Violet Drops New Music Video for “Friends Like This”
Los Angeles-based pop rock band Hey Violet, consisting of Rena Lovelis, Nia Lovelis, and Casey Moreta, announced their upcoming EP “Problems” will be released on April 30, 2021.
The EP is their first music since the 2017 album “From the Outside”. From the EP, the band released the first single “Friends Like This” on March 12th.
The track was written by Michelle Buzz, Andre Davidson, Sean Davidson, Casey Moreta, Szatania Enea and Pyrena Lovelis.
“‘Friends Like This’ is obviously quarantine-inspired, but the song encapsulates more than just the requirement of self-isolation we’ve all had to endure,” frontwonman Rena Lovelis told HollywoodLife. “It’s been such a frustrating past year, so we took that feeling of anger and frustration and translated it into the lyrics of ‘Friends Like This.’ What we found most soothing is that, sonically, the sound and mood of the song doesn’t take on the same emotion that the lyrics do. “Friends Like This” is a really fun and bouncy pop song that acted as our relief from all of the pent-up loneliness and lack of human connection we’re all experiencing.”
On March 30th, the band dropped a new music video for the song, directed by Ariel Michelle.- source : Apple Music
