Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Harper Finn Releases New Song “Dance Away These Days”
New Zealand singer-songwriter Harper Finn, who is known as a son of the legend New Zealand singe Tim Finn, unveiled a new song “Dance Away These Days” with an accompanying music video on October 2nd.
He worked with Tobias Kuhn, and five-time Grammy-winner Cole MGN. The video was directed by James Lowe and Nicole Miller-Wong.
The song was inspired by a quote from Samuel Beckett: “Dance first. Think later. It’s the natural order”.
Harper Finn said, “A quote that always inspired me, and this song, was one by Samuel Beckett; ‘Dance first. Think later. It’s the natural order.'”
“I spent weeks in my room with the door closed trying to figure out moves for this song not knowing if I would get that chance to make the video,” he said. “It was a surreal experience to teach those moves to six actual dancers and see them done back to me.”- source : Radio New Zealand
