  • Hex Girlfriend Releases Two New Songs “Café Culture” & “Itch”

  • London-based rock duo Hex Girlfriend, consisting of Noah Yorke (vocals/guitar) and James Knott (bass), released two new songs “Café Culture” and “Itch” on February 14, 2024.

“Café Culture” received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
Both songs were written by James Knott and Noah Yorke.
The duo said of the lead track “Café Culture”, “'Café Culture' is a loud, confrontational song, but the lyrics are about slowing down, taking time for yourself, and realising that just 'grinding' away at something isn't necessarily going to get results if it's wearing you down. It's a song about rejecting 'hustle culture', something that we feel is particularly prevalent in today's industry where making music independently is thankfully more accessible, but still comes at the cost of homogeneity and commodification due to the relentless pressure to 'market yourself'.”
The duo first performed two songs at the George Tavern in London on February 16, 2024.
