The Washboard Union Releases New Song “Neon Needs The Night”
Canadian country music band The Washboard Union, consisting of David Roberts (vocals/washboard/harmonica), Aaron Grain (vocals/guitar), and Chris Duncombe (vocals/banjo), released a new song “Neon Needs The Night” on January 12, 2024.
The song is the fourth track of new material from their new collection of songs.
It follows their recent releases “Sometimes You Don't Need A Plan”, “Gather Round” and “I Run On Country.
The track was written by The Washboard Union, along with their producer, friend and co-writer Dave “Dwave” Thomson.
This mid tempo track is a nod to classic 90's country, and marks a bit of a departure for what some people might expect from the band.
“Neon Needs the Night” is a love song about how the best part of you comes alive when it finds the person you were meant for,” Chris Duncombe said of the song. “It was a song we had been playing a lot backstage in warmups so it came really easy when it was time to record it with Dwave Thomson who co-wrote the song and produced it with us as well.”- source : Apple Music
