Gabrielle Aplin Covers Radiohead's “Fake Plastic Trees”
British singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin released a cover of British rock band Radiohead's “Fake Plastic Trees” on December 22, 2023.
For Gabrielle Aplin, the song is the second cover single of 2023. Before the release of the song, she covered Australian singer-songwriter Gotye's “Somebody That I Used To Know” with British singer-songwriter Bryn Christopher, which was released last month.
Also the track is taken from her upcoming project.
The original version of the song was released by Radiohead as the third single from their sophomore album “The Bends” in 1995.
The song reached No. 20 on the UK Singles chart and became Gold disc in the UK.
The track was written by Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, and Philip Selway. The cover version was produced by Ash Howes and Seton Daunt.
Gabrielle Aplin said of the song, “I hope you love this cover of one of my favourite songs ever. This is part of a special project that you will hear more about next year but for now, it's an early Christmas gift.”
