Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Ashnikko Releases New Song “WEEDKILLER”
London-based American singer-songwriter Ashnikko released the title track from their upcoming debut album “WEEDKILLER” on April 7, 2023.
The track was written by Ashton Nicole Casey, and Slinger who also produced it.
Ashnikko said of the song, “This is the song that spawned the whole album. It's the climax of the record, the epic fight scene in the wasteland. Swords drawn, roots deep into the ground, I have come here to photosynthesize and eliminate the weedkillers. It is a violent fantastical storytelling set in my realm.”
The debut album “WEEDKILLER” contains 13-track, featuring guest appearances from Daniela Lalita and Ethel Cain. It is set to be released on August 25, 2023.
“WEEDKILLER” is the story of a fae civilization occupied and destroyed by machines that feed on organic matter where the faerie protagonist seeks revenge by becoming part machine, a poetic commentary on environmental disaster and the rapid evolution of technology.-
