Lizzy McAlpine Drops New Music Video for “ceilings”
American singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine has dropped a new music video for “ceilings” directed by frequent collaborator Gus Black.
The song is featured on her sophomore album “five seconds flat”, which was released in April 2022.
It was written by Lizzy McAlpine and produced by Philip Etherington, and Ehren Ebbage.

Lizzy McAlpine said of the video, “the 'ceilings' music video represents the seconds after meeting someone you like, where you begin to picture a relationship with them. Ultimately, you realize that it doesn't actually exist and it was just your imagination. I think we all do that, it's human nature and that's really what the song is about too.”
The song is the most streaming song of her second album. It has racked up nearly 60 million streams on Spotify, and nearly 185M views across 40K unique videos on TikTok.
