Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Wesley Joseph Premieres New Song “MONSOON” on BBC Radio 1
London-based rapper Wesley Joseph premiered a new song “MONSOON” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming EP “GLOW”, following “COLD SUMMER” released back in February.
It was written by Wesley Joseph and Harvey Dweller. Produced by Wesley Joseph, A.K. Paul, and Lexxx.
Wesley Joseph told Clara Amfo abou the song, “I wrote and produced this song with my friend Harvey Dweller and A.K. Paul in London earlier this year. And yeah put a lot in perspective for me at the time.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Wesley Joseph himself.
Wesley Joseph said of the video, “The video is the most minimalist I’ve directed but also the most poignant, with each scene existing as a visual metaphor and the focus throughout being on feeling and expression. I thought of scenes that could work as huge prints before they were moving frames, each one has a picturesque feel to it for that reason.”
