GAYLE Teams Up With blackbear for New Song “fmk”
American singer-songwriter Taylor Gayle, aka GAYLE teamed up with American singer-songwriter blackbear to release a new song “fmk” on September 16, 2022.
This marks the first collaboration between GAYLE and blackbear. Also, British singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD joined in the track as co-writer.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming second EP “a study of the human experience volume two”, following “indieedgycool” and “god has a sense of humor”.
It was written by Benjamin Caleb Levy, Dominic Harrison, GAYLE, Julianna Taylor Foley, Matthew Musto, Peter Nappi and Reed Berin.
Produced by Jahs and Pete Nappi. The accompanying animated music video was directed by Chris Ullens.
GAYLE said of the song, “fmk is about the intensities of young love. How someone can make you feel great and terrible simultaneously. Not fully knowing if you’re in a toxic relationship or not, because you’ve never had anything else.”
The new EP is a sequel to the first EP “a study of the human experience volume one” and comprises 6-track.
It is set to be released on October 7, 2022.- 0lWY6DUVj3c

GAYLE told PURE CHARTS about the EP, “It's the sequel to the first, because it's 'a study of the human experience volume two'. It's a way to end the story. But I could continue with a volume three, four or five. I always love to do more but I'll stop there I think. I can't wait: on this EP, there is the song 'ALEX' which I wrote about the same guy in 'abcedfu'. I was so sad when we broke up, especially when we came to the conclusion that we had to break up. Because he really was my best friend. There's 'god has a sense of humor', 'indieedgycool', 'fmk' which is a duet with blackbear, as well as 'snow angels'. It's a song on which I say 'fuck' to all that to enjoy life even if it's very stressful. With my brother, I talked about the fact that I always like to do more. If I want to drink, I'm not just going to settle for a beer. I'm going to drink to be tipsy or drunk.”- source : Apple Music
