Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt announced her third studio album “Älskar” would be released on September 2, 2022.
It is her first album in three years since the 2019 album “The Sun Will Come Up, the Seasons Will Change”.
Nina Nesbitt shared on social media, “I'M SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE MY THIRD ALBUM !!! It's called 'Älskar' and it comes out 2nd September. Get your tissues out and your dancing shoes on. I'm so proud of this album and can't wait to finally share it with you all.”
The album comprises 12-track, produced by Dan Muckala, Fanny Hultman, Jack & Coke, Ollie Green and Simon Hassle.
She said of the album, “Making this album was a completely different experience to anything I've made before, although a lot of the music was created remotely, I feel that I've processed so much and learnt a lot about the relationships in my life during the last few years. I wanted to capture all types of love in their raw forms, whether it be romantic, heartbreak, friendship, coming of age, familial or self love.”
From the album, she released a new song “Pressure Makes Diamonds” along with a music video.
It was written by Nina Nesbitt, Svante Halldin, Jakob Hazell and Sara Hjellström (Shy Martin). Produced by Jack & Coke.
She said of the song, “I wrote 'Pressure Makes Diamonds' about trying to navigate my way through the societal pressures I started to feel as a woman in my mid-twenties.”- source : Apple Music
