Alison Wonderland Releases New Song “Forever”
Australian DJ Alexandra Sholler, aka Alison Wonderland released a new song “Forever” along with a music video.
The song is the fifth single off of her upcoming third studio album “Loner”, following “Bad Things”, “Fuck U Love U”, “Fear of Dying” and “New Day”.
It was written and produced by Alexandra Sholler, Trevor Christensen and James Egbert.
The video was directed by Sam Kristofski.
Alexandra Sholler shared on social media, “I remember exactly where I was. I was in the car. At a Starbucks drive thru. with my friend. I was truly at rock bottom. I felt so alone. I asked so many questions... but there were no answers. No matter how hard I tried. Nothing was working. Being stuck in limbo was torture. Mo matter what I tried to do.. the universe was REALLY making me work for it. It was like it was almost giving me things then taking it all away. I was feeling hopeless. I looked at my friend. Tears streaming from my face. Almost begging I said to him. IS IT GOING TO FEEL LIKE THIS FOREVER?! he turned to me and said 'it will feel like forever until it doesn't'”- She continued, “Right then and there I made a deal with myself. REFUSE to victimize myself. However long it takes to build everything back up.. I will DO IT! It's not easy to look at yourself and know the road will be long and tough but knowing that one day it will happen. Somehow. Kept me moving . Kept me going. I knew that eventually I would make it out of the pit.. someday it will not feel like forever anymore. This song is here for you. I hope this song speaks to you like my friend did to me that day at Starbucks drive thru. 'All alone, where to start? / Need to feel like I'm a part (Of something) / (Of something else) / and it will feel like forever until it doesn't / i heard you say'”
The new album comprises 12-track and is set to be released on May 6, 2022.
“For me, Loner feels like a rebirth,” Alexandra Sholler saod of the album. “I owe it to whoever else is out there who was like me, wishing that they had an album like this to empower them to feel less alone and know that it's all going to be okay one day.” - source : Apple Music
