Tom Odell Performs “Half As Good As You” featuring Rae Morris on BBC Radio 2 Piano Month
- British singer-songwriter Tom Odell appeared on BBC Radio 2 Piano Month to perform “Half As Good As You” at Maida Vale Studios in London.
This time, he sang song with British singer-songwriter Rae Morris and the BBC Concert Orchestra. It was written by Tom Odel.
The song was released in 2018 from his third studio album “Jubilee Road”.
The original version of the song featured Irish-Canadian singer-songwriter Alice Merton.
The album reached No.5 on the UK Albums chart. At that time, he said of the album, “I wrote this album in a house on a quiet terraced street in East London. The lyrics are inspired by the lives of the friends I made whilst living there. I recorded most the songs in the living room of the house and if I listen back closely, I can still hear the sound of the old man’s television shows coming through the walls from next door, the kids from the house opposite playing football in the street below and the sound of my girlfriend’s footsteps on the wooden floorboards above. I don’t live there anymore, my life has changed somewhat, but I will always remember the time fondly.”
Tom Odell embarks on “World Tour 2022” in the UK, Ireland, North America and Europe in support of his latest album “Monsters”.
The tour kicks off at Ulster Hall in Belfast on February 15, 2022 and will conclude at La Riviera in Madrid on October 10, 2022.
