American singer-songwriter Andy Grammer has dropped a new music video for “Love Myself” directed by Cooper Davidson.
Andy Grammer shared on social media, “When I sat down to write this song I was genuinely surprised and struck by how embarrassed and intimate it felt to sing “I love you” to myself. For the video I wanted to capture the awkward but necessary conversations we have to have with ourselves. I hope you use it as a sign to have conversations with yourself and give yourself a little love. You deserve it.”
The song was released last December, following “Damn It Feels Good To Be Me” and “Lease On Life”.
It was written by Andy Grammer, Skyler Stonestreet and Mike Wise.
He said of the song, “I’ve written a million love songs in my career. I have never in my whole song writing career intentionally written one to myself. It was SUPER STRANGE. Full disclosure I sat at the piano and cried, laughed, made fun of myself, held space for myself, felt stupid, felt like a crazy person and ultimately felt peace.”- source : YouTube
