Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Elina Releases New Song “Blue”
Swedish singer-songwriter Elina Stridh, aka Elina has unveiled a new song “Blue” from her upcoming sophomore EP.
The song follows up “Paper Planes” released back in March. The accompanying lyric video was directed by Hampus Hjellström.
“There’s a certain bittersweetness when you realise you’ve actually moved on from something,” Elina Stridh explains about the song. “You’ve gone through all the stages, the pain, the denial and then finally acceptance. I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, how there’s like an awakening when you don’t hurt anymore and the brighter memories start to outshine the sad ones. You’re not as emotionally attached as before. ‘Blue’, to me, is about that. About letting the past be a part of you, and appreciate where it has taken you and how it has shaped you.”
Elina Stridh is better known for co-writing “Sexual” by NEIKED, which won “Song of the Year” at Swedish Publishing Awards in 2016.
Also she has contributed the songs to Maroon 5, Zara Larsson, Hilary Duff, Astrid S and more.- source : Out Now
