Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Hurts Returns With New Song “Voices”
English synth-pop duo Hurts returned with a new song “Voices” on May 15th.
The new track is their first single in three years since their fourth studio album “Desire”.
“We wanted to get back to essence of what we do and who we are,” frontman Theo Hutchcraft told NME. “We had to fall in love with the type of music we originally set out to make. We’ve always been drawn in by the darker elements of pop music.”
It was written by Martin Forslund, Dave Gibson, Andrew Anderson and Theo Hutchcraft.
He said of the song, “Voices is a song about isolation, desperation and mania. It’s also about fortitude, resilience and the power of the mind. It was written during a personal crisis and is being released into the world during a very public one. Hopefully it can provide some hope and catharsis to anyone who is struggling with their own demons.”- source : NME
