London-based singer and songwriter Jacob Banks has released a cover of Alicia Keys' "Like You’ll Never See Me Again".
The accompanying video was directed by Savannah Setten, starring nejilka and jaayyy_mii. Track was produced by Sillkey.
Jacob Banks said, “This song kept me company throughout my early years in university. I recorded this about 3 years ago with my friend and collaborator who goes by the name Sillkey. I’ve always loved the song and with everything that’s happening and a recent loss in my life the song came back to me, so I wanted to share with my friends in case you guys find something you need in there like I did.”
“Like You'll Never See Me Again” was released by American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys in 2007 from her her third studio album “As I Am”.
The single reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became her second consecutive R&B chart-topper.
The song won two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Music Video and Outstanding Song, and an ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Award for Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song in 2008.- source : umusic
