Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Alanis Morissette Premieres New Song “Smiling”
Canadian-American singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette has unveiled a new song “Smiling”.
The track is the second single off her upcoming ninth studio album “Such Pretty Forks in the Road”, which is set to be released on May 1st.
She co-wrote the song with Michael Farrell, who’s known for his work with Morrissey, the song was initially meant for Jagged Little Pill the Musical on Broadway.
She firstperfomed the song at the Apollo Theater in New York City on December 2nd.
The album comprises of 11-track and is her first LP in eight years, following 2012's “Havoc and Bright Lights”.
She will embark on tour World Tour this summer, supported by fellow Nineties stalwarts Liz Phair and Garbage. Also, she announced a European leg of the tour, kicking off September 23rd in Copenhagen.
