Bombay Bicycle Club Releases New Song “I Can Hardly Speak”
London-based alt-rock band Bombay Bicycle Club will release their fifth studio album “Everything Else Has Gone Wrong” on January 17th.
From the album, the band unveiled a new song “I Can Hardly Speak” as the fourth single on January 1st, following “Racing Stripes” which was released on December 20th with accompanying music video directed by Louis Bhose. The band explained about previous video, “To film the video we went to the Lofoten Islands in Norway which are north of the Arctic Circle. As you can tell from our faces in the video and without wanting to state the obvious, it is very cold there. This didn’t matter much in the face of Louis’s relentless optimism. It is, in our view, a beautiful video.”
The album “Everything Else Has Gone Wrong” comprises of 11-track and is their first LP in six years.
The band said of the album, “This is an album for anyone who’s ever turned to music in a time of crisis, whether personal or political. It’s about the solace one can get from listening to music or playing music when everything else has gone wrong. It’s about finding kernels of hope and renewal in dire situations.”
The band will embark on a headline tour in the UK and Europe. The tour kicks off at Sound Knowledge in Marlborough on January 12, 2020.
