FINNEAS Performs “I Lost A Friend” & “I Don’t Miss You at All” on Jimmy Kimmel Live
- American singer-songwriter Finneas Baird O'Connell, aka FINNEAS appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform “I Lost A Friend” and “I Don’t Miss You at All”.
He recently released his debut EP “Blood Harmony”. Two songs are included in the EP.
He said of “I Lost A Friend”, “I was nervous putting out ‘I Lost A Friend’ because it was about a friend of mine whom I had sort of become friends with again, and I knew that he was going to hear it, so I sent it to him first to preface the song by saying, “This is how I was feeling at the time, and I’m glad to have you back in my life.” That made me nervous.”
“I Don’t Miss You at All” was released in September. He explained the song, “This song is about trying (and failing) to convince yourself that you’re over someone. Remembering all your absolute favorite things about them and pretending they mean nothing to you now. I wrote it on a toy guitar in a hotel in New York while we were on tour this summer. Just a lil indie movie darling.”
FINNEAS is better known as a brother of Billie Eilish. He won 2019 Songwriters of the Year at AppleMusic. Also he was nominated Producer of the Year at 2019 Grammy Awards, where he is one of the youngest producers ever nominated for producer of the year.
