Peking Duk Premieres New Music Video for “Wasted”
- Australian electronic music duo Peking Duk premiered a new music video for “Wasted” directed by Ryan Sauer.
The duo performed the song for the first time at Falls Festival in Lorne last month.
They wrote the song in London, about the song, Adam Hyde said, "It was very late at night and we definitely weren't in our rightest of minds at the time."
Reuben Styles added, "I think we started [recording] at about 2am, which led to us drinking pretty early on in the session and yeah, once we started getting tipsy random ideas starting springing up left, right, and centre and we started shouting them at each other."
- Peking Duk was formed in 2010 in Canberra, Australia by Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles. Peking Duk signed to Sony Music Entertainment in conjunction with RCA Records in 2014, and released a debut EP "Songs to Sweat To" in 2015.
From the EP, the single "High" featuring Nicole Millar" won Best Independent Dance/Electronica or Club Single at AIR Awards, Best Dance Release at ARIA Music Awards in 2014. "Take Me Over" featuring Safia received Most played Australian Work and Dance work of the Year at APRA Awards.
In 2017, the duo won Song of the Year with "Stranger" featuring Elliphant at ARIA Music Awards.
