London-based jazz group Lydian Collective has released a new song "Thirty One" via SoundCloud. The song is taken from their upcoming debut album "Adventure", which is set to be released in January 2018. The track reminds us of Chick Corea.
The band performed the song at Lydian Live Sessions back in June. Live version has been shared via Candyrat Records.
Lydian Collective was formed by composer/producer Aaron Wheelerm (aka Laszlo) and guitarist Todd Baker, currently consisting member of Aaron Wheeler (keyboard), Todd Baker (guitar), Ida Hollis (bass) and Sophie Alloway (drums).
The group's sound is blending electronica, dance, jazz, world, folk and classical into a fascinating and highly melodic whole.
In 2010, Aaron Wheelerm found his own label Lydian Label, where he has released material as Laszlo as well as Musicbox, who is a duo by Aaron Wheeler and Todd Baker.
Musicbox released a debut album "Three Phases" in 2013, in which featured “Thirty One”.
Two extremely impressive musicians, Ida Hollis on bass and the wonderful Sophie Alloway on drums, joined in the band, debuted as Lydian Collective.- source : SoundCloud
