Demi Lovato Premieres Documentary Film “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated”
American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato unveiled her documentary film “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated” directed by Hannah Lux Davis.
The film was shot from June to September in 2017 and is around 1 hour 30 minutes full length.
In the past, Hannah Lux Davis created Demi Lovato’s music video such as "Cool for the Summer” and "Sorry Not Sorry”.
According to The official description;
“Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated is a full length documentary that gives a personal and intimate look into Demi Lovato's life as not only a regular 25 year old, but also one of the biggest pop stars in the world. To know Demi best, you have to understand all that she has been through and overcome. This documentary includes never before told stories that inform the person she is today. Go on the journey with Demi as she creates her most important body of work in music yet, and discovers her most authentic self along the way.”- A director Hannah Lux Davis explained about the film in an interview Billboad;
“It was amazing to see it with an audience. It was definitely the hardest project I’ve ever done. I don’t want to say it was draining, but it was mentally exhausting.
We started out just looking at her schedule to see what was happening. We saw she was going to be at a music festival in Africa, so it was like, ‘Well, I guess we’ll go to Africa.’ Then she had something in Dallas, then Cannes.
Obviously, she’s had a lot of trials and tribulations in her life, so it wasn't a simple cookie-cutter timeline of events. I had to be a sponge to every situation that was happening around me; not only what Demi was doing and where she was at and what she was going through, but the people in her life as well. So many people have been affected by her, not just her fans but those in her circle. Their lives are so wrapped up in Demi’s world, even they’re on this roller coaster.” - source : Billboard
