Fleurie Releases New Song “Supertropicali”
- Nashville-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Lauren Strahm, aka Fleurie is back with a new song “Supertropicali”.
The song is her first music since the 2018 album “Portals”.
It was written by Lauren Strahm, Tofer Brown and Justin Parker. The accompanying music video was directed by Elle Ginter.
The track draws the coming of age story of a girl from Japan who moved to Los Angeles at 17.
“I just woke up from the wildest dream. I was a girl from Osaka, I was Japanese and in the dream I was seventeen when I moved to Los Angeles to find my wings and the craziest thing is that today feels like life is just a faded fantasy… So I’m gonna try to remember everything and write it down for anybody listening…”
Lauren Strahm said of the song, “‘Supertropicali’ is the first page of a story that found me over the last several years and wouldn’t let me go. I continually dreamt about it at night and was always imagining creating the world inside my head and telling this coming of age story of a girl from Japan who moved to Los Angeles at 17, curious and full of wide-eyed wonder. Her name is Serenity and I found myself telling her story as much as letting her tell mine. ‘Supertropicali’ is the falling-down-the-rabbit-hole moment into the wild world of LA as Serenity perceives it.”
Fleurie is currently on a US tour, criss-crossing the country with Colony House through November 27th.
