ELIZZA Shares New Song “London Eyes”
- London-based singer-songwriter ELIZZA has shared a new song “London Eyes”.
The song is her third single of 2020, following “Habit” and “Want to Keep”. She co-wrote and recorded the song with Mars Today in Los Angeles.
“The story is about my love and 'sometimes' hate relationship with London,” explains ELIZZA. “Since I moved here, I have been falling deeply in love with it but also find myself struggling to accept all that is London. “London Eyes” talks about how I feel the city is “keeping eyes” on me and not letting me go.”
She continues, “In one way, I like this constant pull, but I also realise that there are so many times I find it tough. It can be expensive but also presents opportunities, it's been a lot of years of working very hard to enjoy the best of this city. And then London has all the temptations you can imagine and more, you get addicted. At the end of the day, it's home and I love it.”
- The music video for the song was released in October and directed by Elliot Simpson, who filmed it in London – Notting Hill Gate and Westbourne Grove area.
She told NOTION about the video in an interview, “In the music video, I wanted to show London from my eyes, and my perspective. The people who understand London would be able to feel the vibe that I feel and for others, I hope this song intrigues them to want to experience it for themselves or maybe even find their own London, their own adventure. London has given me love, togetherness, strength, and a very exciting and colourful journey, that's the inspiration and vision for this video.”
