Justin Bieber Performs “Holy” & “Lonely” on Saturday Night Live
- Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Bieber appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform his latest songs “Holy” and “Lonely”.
The episode marked his fourth appearance on the sketch comedy show, and his second of 2020.
American rapper Chance the Rapper performed “Holy” with Justin Bieber.
The song was released last month, featuring Chance the Rapper. It is the first single off of his upcoming sixth studio album.
Justin Bieber said, “Chance is one of my good friends, I consider him a brother. I asked him if there was anything on his heart that he wanted to share on this record, and he was like, 'Yeah, I would love to.'”
"I would say, I'm gonna, this is no cap at all and I said this to you in Chicago, it's some of the best music I've ever heard, period," Chance the Rapper said. "It reminds me of when Michael Jackson made Off the Wall. Everybody that's listening…I promise you it is literally groundbreaking music. Stuff that's, like, it's just hard to explain and I don't want to give away, like, the genres and all that stuff. But you went crazy and I already told you that. But, like, I'm just excited that everybody's gonna get to hear that."
American producer Benny Blanco performed “Lonely” with Justin Bieber. The song was released on October 16th. Produced by Benny Blanco and FINNEAS.
Justin Bieber said, “When he (Benny Blanco) and FINNEAS showed me this song to be honest it was hard to listen to considering how tough it was to get through some of these chapters. I went into the studio and sang through it which wasn't easy but started to really see the importance of telling this story!"
