Alicia Keys Performs at Television City with Bebe Rexha & Khalid on The Late Late Show with James Corden Drive-In Concert
American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform “Love Looks Better”, “Underdog”, “Gramercy Park” and “So Done” at Television City.
Four songs are included on her latest studio album “Alicia” released on September 18th.
“Love Looks Better” was co-written by OneRepublic Ryan Tedder. Before The Late Late Show, she performed “Love Looks Better” at the 2020 NFL Kickoff Concert.
“Underdog” was co-written by Ed Sheeran. She said of the song, “I love this song. To be an underdog is to defy the odds! To prove to those who think you won't make it wrong. Every day, waking up and choosing to keep going is a win. A small triumph that really matters. I love that the song is the story of so many unsung heroes. I was raised by a single mother. She is a champion, she is my inspiration. They said I would never make it but I was built to break the mold.”- 4o3Ph5RZwv0

On “Gramercy Park”, Bebe Rexha joined in. She is not originally featured on the album track, but surprising performance.
Alicia Keys said of the song, “I love what this song means…a lot of what I've been thinking about on my own personal journey is kinda how much we contort and conform and adjust ourselves all the time — with the best of intentions, by the way! It's from the most beautiful place — we want people to feel us, and we want people to know how much we care about them. Somewhere along the line we kinda lose ourself in that and maybe can't find our way back to ourselves. We're so concerned about how everybody else feels and we're so concerned with just making other people happy. It's definitely been something I've personally experienced, and I have a feeling a lot of you might have felt the same way. So this song “Gramercy Park” talks about how that happens.”
Khalid performed “So Done” with Alicia Keys. She said of the song, “Obviously, we've had mutual respect for each other for a minute, and I've been just super proud of him, because he's such an individual. That's kind of rare to find. Like, finding people who really stand in their own power, their own zone as a writer, producer and creator. My favorite part about him is that he's so unafraid to be vulnerable, and to talk about those parts that are maybe not even talked about as much as a young man, as a human and as a person. So I've always appreciated that about him, and celebrated him for that. So I knew that if we did something together, it would definitely have a zone and have a vibe. ”-
