New Haven-based singer-songwriter ammar released two new songs “(nevermind)” and “holy silence, interlude” on November 1, 2023.
The songs will appear on his upcoming project “WHAT'S BEHIND BLUE SKIES?”, which is expected to be released in 2024.
The collection unites his diverse influences into a fractured blend of experimental punk and alternative pop with rebellious undertones.
“(nevermind) is a puzzling tale of love that's all in my head,” ammar said of “(nevermind)”. "I envisioned the song as a love letter that I wrote and instantly threw away. I had no intention of telling this person how I truly felt, as love has been my relentless adversary, challenging me in all its forms, including the love for myself.”
He continued, “I've always wanted to believe that magic isn't hard to find, only to surrender to the inevitable conclusion: nevermind.”-
