Maggie Andrew Releases New Song “Come Clean”
Nova Scotia-based singer-songwriter Maggie Andrew released the third single of 2023 called “Come Clean” on October 27, 2023.
The track was written by Maggie Andrew, Rachel Kanner, and Sam Balcom. Produced by orey Lerue.
Maggie Andrew said of the song, “'Come Clean' is about starting over, saying what's on your chest and getting it out so you can move on. I had a falling out with someone I thought was a friend, but they ended up ghosting me in life completely.”
She continued, “I felt really sad for a while because it left me confused and hurt, especially because I didn't do anything wrong. It was like a breakup for no reason. I expanded on that inspiration in a songwriting session with the green queen KANNER.”- She added, “The moody, rain-soaked intro sets the tone, and you’ll hear a contrast between the brooding electric guitar from Carleton Stone and the heavy trap drums. My dark dreams of grungy, cinematic alt-rock came true with Corey Lerue producing, mixing, and mastering.”
