Royel Otis Announces Debut Album “PRATTS & PAIN”, Shares New Song “Fried Rice”
Australian guitar-pop duo Royel Otis, consisting of Royel Maddell (guitar/vocals) and Otis Pavlovic (guitar/vocals), has announced their debut album “PRATTS & PAIN” will be released on February 9, 2024.
The album comprises 12-track, produced by Dan Care. The album named after the South London pub that sits around the corner from Carey's famed home studio, the duo often finished lyrics and made sonic directions over a pint on a Pratts & Payne bar stool.
From the album, the duo released a new song “Fried Rice” along with a music video on October 6, 2023.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Adored” released back in July.
The track was written by Otis Pavlovic, Royel Maddell, and Rob Brinkmann. Produced by Dan Carey.
The accompanying video was directed by Ady Neshoda.
Royel Otis said of the song, “Being into someone at the wrong party. They want everyone there but you, so you turn on the charm you think you found at the bottom of a bottle. You succeed in your head but that's just not the case on reflection. Moral of the story is make sure you know the type of party you're getting yourself into. Keep your eyes wide shut.”
