SOFY Releases New Song “WET PAINT”
London-based singer-songwriter SOFY will release her debut mixtape “Chaos & Commotion” on October 27, 2023.
The mixtape features 9-track and is her first project under independent record label Chess Club Records.
From the mixtape, SOFY released the fourth single called “WET PAINT” on October 4, 2023.
The track was written by Sophie Howes, Scott Verrill, and Edward Denholm. Produced by Good Scott.
SOFY said of the song, “‘WET PAINT’ is all about temptation. You know when you see a sign that says wet paint and all you want to do is touch the wall? Sonically it’s got that AM era Arctic Monkeys swagger fused with sample old school hip hop drums and horns inspired by the band Jungle. One of my favourite tracks from the mixtape”.
SOFY embarks on her first ever UK headline tour in support of the mixtape. The tour kicks off at McChuils in Glasgow on November 28, 2023 and will conclude at Yes (Basement) in Manchester on December 10, 2023.
