TYDL Releases Debut Song “Ethereal”
Brighton-based electro-pop duo TYDL, consisting of Rebecca Valerie (vocals) and Jack Dunstall (drums), released their debut song “Ethereal” on August 25, 2023.
The song is the title track of their upcoming debut EP.
It was written by Rebecca Valerie and Jack Dunstall, produced by Lewis Amoroso.
Title track is written from the perspective of someone who was obsessed with an imagined love interest and so overwhelmed with lust that she trapped them in a spell that meant they would be together forever.
Rebecca Valerie said of the song, “The song is really about how we all have a part of us that can’t be controlled and we need to accept that and use it to our advantage.”- The debut EP comprises 4-track and is expected to be released in 2023.
The duo has created a collection of songs that emanate villain energy and hype the listener up, emphasising that it doesn’t matter if what you’re doing is “wrong” as long as you’re true to yourself.
Rebecca Valerie said, “I wanted to create music that reflected the part of me that I had lost.” -
