Colbie Caillat Releases New Song “Wide Open”
American singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat released the third single called “Wide Open” from her upcoming seventh studio album “Along the Way” on July 14, 2023 following “Pretend” and “Worth It”.
The track was written by Colbie Caillat, Alysa Vanderheym, and Jordyn Shellhart. Produced by Jamie Kenney.
Colbie Caillat said of the song, “I think we forget to live in the moment sometimes. Especially with relationships, we're always so worried about where it's going to end up and we miss the journey that it's taking us on. 'Wide Open' is about how people are ever-changing, so being open to what life has to offer you or what relationships can complement your life in that specific season becomes freeing.”
The new album is set to be released on October 6, 2023 and comprises 13-track.
It is her first album in seven years since the 2016 album “The Malibu Sessions”.- She shared on social media, “I think that often in relationships, it's easy to get caught up in where things are going, that we miss out on the journey it's taking us on. If things work out, great. If they don't, that's ok too! This song is about letting go and the freedom in that. Loved writing this song with these incredible women who knew exactly how to help me express what I was feeling. Alysa Vanderheym and Jordyn Shellhart. And my favorite producerJamie Kenney for his stellar production and making this recording process the most fun.”
