Sad Night Dynamite Premieres New Song “Sick of Your Sound” on BBC Radio 1
London-based alt-R&B duo Sad Night Dynamite, consisting of Archie Blagden and Josh Greacen, premiered a new song “Sick of Your Sound” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song will appear on their forthcoming album, which is expected to be released this year.
The track was written by Archie Blagden, Ben Ash, and Josh Greacen. Produced by Sad Night Dynamite.
The accompanying music video was directed by Will Hooper.
The duo described the song as “a breath of fresh rotten air. We wrote it at a time when we were feeling completely bloated with pointless information, coming mainly from online. The world is a confusing place, and 'Sick of Your Sound' is ultimately a reaction to that.”
- Josh Greacen told Clara Amfo about song, “I think because we just we were very angry is really the reason that. We like to call it a sort of breath of fresh rotten air and we definitely had some people on our mind when we wrote it. It's kind of calling out all those people that like to talk but maybe don't really back it up. But it's kind of got quite an eclectic message. I feel like you can take it anyway.”
He continued, “We actually made a list of people that this song applies to, and it's quite a long list. Do you mind if I read out? Okay, here we go. Grown men on snapchat. Vapors. Carpools at Disneyland. We're sick of it. Archie loves that one. We've got that people propose in public. People that send you voice note messages. I'm sick of it. I hate that will be me. Cyclists. Chatty cab drivers. Peopler chewing gum loudly. We've got people eating food on public transport. I mean genuine I'm only about a quarter way through. Let's leave it.”
