Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ M. Byrd Releases New Song “Only a Feeling”
German singer-songwriter M. Byrd will release his highly-anticipated debut album “The Seed” on June 16, 2023.
From the album, he unveiled fifth single called “Only a Feeling” on April 7, 2023.
The track was written by M. Byrd and produced by Eugen Koop.
M. Byrd said of the song, “I have a close friend who deals with panic attacks on a regular basis. It’s crazy to think of how something just triggers such a powerful reaction where a person has an outburst out of nowhere and ends up gasping for air. The drums even mirror this shortness of breath.”
He continued, “A song that reminds me so much of our live shows. 'Only A Feeling' started as a loop with Martin Baumgartner and grew into a spiraling jam the more people became involved. I am glad it worked out because it was hard to bring all these people together in one room at the time we made it. Paradoxically, to me, it symbolizes the anxiety that can come with being on the road and how trapped you can feel by time schedules and plans that try to make an impossible travel manageable.”- Photo by Chiara Baluch
