Lauren Weintraub Drops New Music Video for “People Like Me”
American singer-songwriter Lauren Weintraub has dropped a new music video for “People Like Me” directed by Preston Leatherman.
Lauren Weintraub shared, “I am so in love with every second of this video and am so grateful to every single person who made it possible. Especially all these BEAUTIFUL extras who braved a 45 degree abandoned gymnasium for me. And the brilliant Preston Leatherman for bringing my vision to life.”
The song was released last month and is her first music since the 2022 EP “This Is Your Brain On Love”.
The track was written by Lauren Weintraub, Derrick Southerland, and Sam Ellis. Produced by Ross, Derrick Southerland, and Sam Ellis.- “I could not be more excited to start this next era of music with 'People Like Me,'” Lauren Weintraub said of the song. “This song really feels like me stepping into my greater purpose and power as an artist. I spent a lot of my early twenties so concerned about what other people thought - dressing a certain way, doing and saying things that weren't necessarily authentic - all out of a fear of being perceived as 'weird' or 'different.' Turning 24-years-old has brought an air of confidence, of really letting me be me. I want to inspire vulnerability in people to level up human connection, and this song spreads a really special message to me – one that others may need to hear.”
