Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad Releases New Song “Revolution” featuring The Movement
American reggae band Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, consisting of Chris O'Brian (drums), James Searl (bass), Dylan Savage (guitar), Tony Gallicchio (Keyboard) and Eli Flynn (guitar), released a new song “Revolution” on March 3, 2023.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming seventh studio album “Love in Time”, which is set to be released on April 7, 2023 via Easy Star Records.
This time, the band teamed up with American reggae band The Movement on the track, where the band frontman Josh Swain performed as vocals.
The track was written by The Movement, James Searl, Dylan Savage, Christopher O'Brian, Elijah Madani Flynn, and Anthony Scott Gallicchio.
Produced by Alborosie, Matthew Goodwin and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad.
- The band bassist James Searl said of the song, “'Revolution' was originally a late-night studio jam that we sent to Alborosie to see what he could cook up. 'You want me to add the spicy sauce, yeah?' he said. With that, he took the drums and vocals and crafted an absolute bomb of a musical collaboration, with horns from Milan and bass lines from Jamaica. We knew that this was the tune that we wanted our east-coast-grinding homie of nearly twenty years, Josh Swain, of the Movement, to spit hot fire on. Josh came with his southern sticky Goodie-Mob-a-licious rapid fire delivery to bring the song up to 1,000%. Exactly the kind of collaborative style we were going for as we dove deep into creating Love In Time.”
The new album is their first project in seven years since the 2016 album “Make It Better”.
The album contains 11-track, featuring guest appearances from Skribe Da God, Double Tiger, and Blakkamoore, as well as working with collaborators from Clinton Fearon, Anthony B and The Movement.
