HU$H Releases New Song “Overstay”
American singer-songwriter HU$H released a new song “Overstay” along with a music video via Strange Music.
The song is the follow-up to “Breakables” and “Envy”, and will appear on his upcoming debut album.
The track was written and produced by Aaron R Shier. The accompanying video was directed by Cameron Logan Cox.
HU$H said of the song, “I had just signed the record deal I'd always wanted 2 weeks after my dad died and then moved to Kansas City to work on these songs. All this good was happening and all this bad at the same time, it was like I couldn't feel any of it. When the pandemic hit it all started to change, and I was dealing with the loss of my father and what felt like the end of music for a while.”
He continued, “Every day felt like a weird daydream, or a movie and I had to just learn to cope with it all by myself in isolation, playing melodies and writing down what I was going through.”
- HU$H singed to Strange Music in 2021. He said about joining the Strange Music family, “It's an incredible honor to share a space with legends like Tech N9ne, the biggest independent rapper of all time and one of the most prolific lyricists on the planet. X-Raided was a big inspiration to me growing up seeing his unshakeable dedication to music through such a hard time. Music is something I've always held close to me and lived by as a religion, it's the voice of the soul and a way for us to communicate our journey out of pain. I feel that same dedication and respect for music at Strange and that's how I know I'm right at home.”
