Miso Extra Premieres New Song “Great Taste” featuring NAYANA IZ on BBC Radio 1
- London-based singer-songwriter Miso Extra premiered a new song “Great Taste” with an accompanying music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
The song will appear on her upcoming EP of the same name, which is set to be released on April 1, 2022.
It was written and produced by Miso Extra and co-produced by Tricky N Duke. The video was directed by Sarah Elizabeth .
She teamed up with London-based singer-songwriter NAYANA IZ on the track.
“Great Taste explores the realising that your current state of being might not always be the best and that if nothing changes the future ahead isn't appealing,” Miso Extra said of the song. “If anything terrifying. Its expressing a desire to join hands with those who want to follow their dreams and enter an alternate future. Nayana IZ was able to bring her incredible wisdom of words to the table and further iterates the bitter sweet struggles of self development.”
- She sings the song in Japanese. She told Jack Saunders why she sings in Japanese, “I tend to find you can access like a whole different series of just like sounds and intimations and I sang in Japanese, which is quite useful because you can access like melodic, like melodies that you wouldn't necessarily have in English. So it kind of gives me kind of a wider pool to choose from when it comes to kind of singing and songwriting which makes it a lot more dynamic.”
