Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Clean Bandit Mashes Up Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” & Sisqo’s “Thong Song” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
British electronic music group Clean Bandit appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where the band covered Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” and Sisqo’s “Thong Song”.
After their mashup, American singer-songwriter Julia Michaels performed her latest song “I Miss You” with the band.
“New Rules” was released from Dua Lipa’s eponymous debut studio album in July 2017. The track was written by Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren and Ian Kirkpatrick.
The song reached number one in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium (Flanders), Ireland, Israel and Romania, while peaking within the top ten in Australia, Finland, Germany, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden.
“Thong Song” was released by American R&B artist Sisqó in 2000. The song was the second single from his 1999 solo debut studio album "Unleash the Dragon".

- “I Miss You” is collaboration song by Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels, who released it on October 27. It was written by Micheals, Jack Patterson and Grace Chatto.
The muisc video was premiered on the same day and directed by Clean Bandit, who filmed it in the United Kingdom and a desert in Los Angeles.
Grace Chatto described the filming process, "We got to know each other better in the blazing heat, we experimented with special effects and train tracks." - source : BBC Radio 1
