Canadian alt-soul singer-songwriter Avery Raquel is back with a new song “Helpless”.
The song is her first music since the 2018 third studio album “My Heart Away” in three years. (except Christmas song)
Also, the track is the first single off of her upcoming self-titled album.
It was written by Avery Raquel and produced by Nicolas Tateishi.
The track features Jazz and soft R&B influenced sound. It is reminiscent of London-based music producer Conor Albert.
Avery Raquel said of the song, “'Helpless' is a punchy and colourful song with a touch of playfulness, inspired by an old relationship slowly seeing its end. Admitting that fact was the hardest part.”
She continued, “When someone has a hold on you mentally, it's hard to let them go, even if you know they aren't meant for you. I explain through the course of 'Helpless' that it's just little things keeping us together, but that can't be the only glue holding the relationship.”- source : SoundCloud
