The Feeling Announces New Album “Loss. Hope. Love.”, Shares New Song “This Was Me” from “Everybody's Talking About Jamie” Soundtrack
- British rock band The Feeling, consisting of Dan Gillespie Sells (lead vocals), Richard Jones (bass), Kevin Jeremiah (guitar), Ciaran Jeremiah (keyboards) and Paul Stewart (drums), announced their sixth studio album “Loss. Hope. Love.” would be released on May 5, 2022.
The album contains 15-track and is their first LP in 6 years. The Feeling shared on social media, “We've been keeping this under wraps for a little while now, but… Album No.6 'LOSS. HOPE. LOVE' will be out on 6th May 2022 🎉 It's been a joy to write and record this and we can't wait for you to hear it. It's taken us back to feeling very much like we did when recording '12 Stops and Home'!”
From the album, the band released a new song “This Was Me” along with a music video.
The track was written for an upcoming musical film “Everybody's Talking About Jamie” soundtrack.
The band said, “We're thrilled to share this with you. It was originally written by Dan for the film 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie'. A very personal song to Dan, this is him singing our version of a song which is performed by Richard E. Grant and Holly Johnson in the film.”
The video was shot at the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club.
“Everybody's Talking About Jamie” is inspired by the 2011 television documentary “Jamie: Drag Queen at 16”.
The film was directed by Jonathan Butterell, who marks the directorial debut, starring Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant.
Initially, the film was supposed to be released in February 2021, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film is scheduled to be released on September 17, 2021.
