Cautious Clay Teams Up With Saba for New Song “Strange Love”
Back in April, American singer-songwriter Cautious Clay announced his debut album “Deadpan Love” will be released on June 25 via The Orchard.
From the album, he unveiled a new song “Strange Love” as the sixth single off, following “Agreeable”, “Roots”, “Dying in the Subtlety”, “Karma & Friends” and “Wildfire”.
This time, he teamed up with American rapper Saba on the track. It was written by Cautious Clay, Saba & HXNS. The accompanying music video was directed by Alex Futtersak.
The debut album comprises of 14-track, where he collaborated with co-writers like Tobias Jesso Jr., Jim-E Stack, Saba and Daniel Nigro.
Cautious Clay said of the album in a statement, “Deadpan Love explores the ways I cope with the worst of what humanity has to offer. It’s about opposites—having an outer layer that’s tougher, this “deadpan” state, and an inner layer of compassion, where you’re open to being there for the people you care about. It’s this warring compassion and cynicism that has empowered me to express myself through this medium.”- 6bDW3vo79qI
