American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo premiered a new song “good 4 u” on May 13, 2021.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut album “SOUR”. It was written by Olivia Rodrigo and Daniel Nigro, who also produced the track.
She has already filmed the music video for the song, which will be premiered soon. Directed by Petra Collins.
Olivia Rodrigo said, “I'm so stoked because my song “good 4 u” is out now! It's a super angsty song inspired by some of my favorite pop punk bands. It's one of my favorite songs on the record and I really hope you love it. Oh, and there's also a sick music video for it. My friend Petra Collins directed it. We wanted to pay homage to the iconic feminist camp horror movies we love.”

The debut album is set to be released on May 21st and comprises 11-track. She released a trailer for the album on May 12th.
Olivia Rodrigo shared on social media, “I'm so stoked for the album. It's just super versatile, which I'm really proud of. This is going to sound stupid, but I wanted to make it pop, alt-rock, alt-pop, and folk. I actually think I sort of pulled it off, maybe. I think there's a wide range of songs on that record, which I'm so excited about.”
She continued, “I'm so happy with the album, which I was not expecting. I was expecting me to listen to it and be like, “Uhhh,” like everything that I did wrong. I truly feel like it's the best that I can do right now. I wrote one song when I was sixteen, and one song when I was eighteen, but most of them I wrote when I was seventeen.
