Pale Waves Drops New Music Video for “You Don't Own Me”
Back in February, British alt-pop band Pale Waves released their sophomore album “Who Am I?” for the first time in three years.
From the album, the band dropped a music video for “You Don't Own Me” on March 1st, following previous video for “Fall To Pieces”.
Directed by frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie and her girlfriend Kelsi Luck. The track was written by Sam de Jong and Heather Baron-Gracie.
“You Don’t Own Me is a song for women about what it’s like to be a woman in this world. How society depicts, judges and criticises women on a daily basis,” Heather Baron-Gracie said of the song. “This song is incredibly important to me and I wanted to represent my own experiences. I also wanted to say a big fuck you to everyone that plays by these fake delusional rules that women and gender need to fit inside a specific box.”
The new album was produced by Rich Costey and Sam de Jong , and recorded in Los Angeles. The album reached No. 3 on the UK Albums chart.- xR2VDHpjUq4
