ILLENIUM Teams Up With Dabin for New Song “Hearts On Fire” featuring Lights
American DJ ILLENIUM teamed up with Canadian music producer Dabin to release a new song “Hearts On Fire” on December 25th.
The song features Canadian singer-songwriter Lights. It was written by Lights, Illenium and Dabin.
To date, ILLENIUM and Dabin have worked together on their tour. But they recorded the song for the first time.
ILLENIUM signed to 12Tone Music this year. The track is the third single under his new label, following “Nightlight” and “Paper Thin”. ILLENIUM told Front Row Live of his transition to a more rock-inspired sound. “I feel like it's just such a classic sound sound mixed with a new like a more rocky influence, which has been really present my music. Recently I feel like I have just been loving like big powerful chord, big electric guitar drops a lot more like live elements, plus I feel like there's a lot of elements for my older music where I feel like it's like really pretty angelic vocal, and it kind of tells it a simple story, but it captures my brain.”- NauAmACgNSs

Dabin shared on social media, “Nick and I always talked about making something but we could never find the right moment. With both of us being stuck at home it was the perfect opportunity to start something together and we're so happy with how this one turned out. This acoustic rocky 3/4 ballad shows off the new sound both of us have been into these days. So we hope you enjoy it. And Merry Christmas everyone ❤️”
