Tribe Friday Drops New Song “Sleepwalk”
- Swedish alt-rock band Tribe Friday has shared a new song “Sleepwalk”.
The song is the second single of their upcoming third EP “Waiting For A Sign”, following “Loosie”.
Frontman Noah Deutschmann explains, “The song is about coming to terms with mistakes you've made after a long period of blaming others and living in a bubble of denial. It's about struggling with that underlying feeling of 'what if this never happened?'.”
The new EP contains 5-track and is out October 23rd. The band recorded it during the same sessions of their sophomore EP “Chasing Pictures”.
He told Tough Magazine about the EP, “The EP was actually recorded during the same sessions as our ‚Chasing Pictures' EP, so in a way it's a continuation of that record. Making it was a LOT of work, mostly because I spent an unhealthy amount of time on getting the production just right. I was absolutely exhausted by the end of it. It was worth every second though.”
- He added, “It completely depends on the song. Sometimes I'll gather stories and quotes from people around me, writing stuff down as I go, and then I'll come up with ideas from those notes. Other times I'll write from my own perspective. I think the common theme is that I need to feel what I'm writing, even if that means putting myself in the headspace of some imaginary character. Also, it seems I can only write about things that make me sad. Catharsis!”
