Sheppard Premieres New Song “Thank You”
Last month, Australian alt-pop band Sheppard returned with a new song “Come Back” for the first time in two year since their sophomore album “Watching the Sky”.
Followed by, the band unveiled a new song “Thank You” on May 8ths, ahead of Mother's Day.
The band shared, “Proud to announce our song for May "Thank You" will be released Friday the 8th of May, ahead of Mother's Day. Written as a song of gratitude for our amazing mum Linda, and for all the other incredible, generous, selfless, beautiful, strong, loving, super hero mums around the world. Raising a human is probably the hardest job there is (and you don't even get paid!) So from us to all our wonderful mothers - THANK YOU!”
They added, “Through the good times and the bad, we have to celebrate our mum Linda Sheppard. She has always been the rock of our band, never complains AND always has a smile on her face.”
The accompanying music video was edited by Jay Bovino. The band said, “In May 2020, while planet Earth was locked down during the Covid-19 pandemic, making music videos was challenging. We asked our fans to send in clips of themselves spending time with their mothers/kids for this music video. Thanks to everyone who sent in footage. This one is for our beautiful mums.
