Martin Garrix Releases New Song “Dreamer” featuring Mike Yung
Dutch DJ Martin Garrix and American soul singer Mike Yung released their new collaboration song “Dreamer” with accompanying music video on November 1st.
The video was directed by Damian Karsznia, Mike Yung performing the song in a New York subway where he had started his career as a street artist.
The song was written by Brian Lee, Yury Parkhomenko, Aleksandr Parkhomenko, Ilsey Juber, Mike Yung and Martin Garrix.
On December 11th, Billboard shared a interview video with both artists. Martin Garrix invited Mike Yung to Amsterdam where most of the song was written.
“It was fun, 'cause we were so different with the music that we make, the music that we listen to,” Martin Garrix said. “What actually surprised me, we had so many things in common. I can't work on a song if I don't connect with someone. And we met in New York, and I was like, 'OK. Let's go to Amsterdam.'”
“The whole song, the whole idea behind the music that we were making that trip was that we wanted to inspire people,” he continued. “We wanted to give people hope, give people that extra push of motivation. Everybody's got a dream, so for us, we wanted to make a song for those people.”- b9HpOAYjY9I
